About the Challenge

The Etobicoke Vision Challenge is an exciting opportunity for residents to shape the future of their community through bold ideas and creative solutions. As Etobicoke grows and evolves, so do the challenges and opportunities that come with building a sustainable, inclusive, and thriving city. This challenge encourages participants to reimagine what Etobicoke could become and contribute innovative proposals that inspire positive change.

Why This Matters
Etobicoke is home to a diverse and vibrant population, yet many aspects of urban life—such as housing, transit, sustainability, and public spaces—are at a turning point. How we respond to these issues today will shape the quality of life for future generations. This challenge aims to empower community members to take an active role in civic innovation by providing a platform to share their ideas, highlight pressing concerns, and propose solutions that reflect local needs and aspirations.

What We’re Looking For
We invite residents to submit forward-thinking ideas in a variety of formats—whether it’s a policy recommendation, an artistic interpretation, a multimedia project, or a detailed plan for community engagement. The goal is to spark meaningful discussions, generate innovative solutions, and amplify voices that are often overlooked in city planning.

Inspiration for Your Vision
Your submission could tackle a wide range of topics, from climate resilience and smart urban design to cultural initiatives and governance improvements.

By participating, you’re not just imagining a better future—you’re helping to build it.
